The German chemical giant targets a Frankfurt listing for its Agricultural Solutions unit by mid-2027.
BASF has hired four investment banks to prepare the initial public offering of its Agricultural Solutions division, the company announced on 14 September 2026. Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and J.P. Morgan will act as global coordinators. The listing is planned to take place by mid-2027 on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany, where the business will be listed as a European Company (SE).
The execution and definitive timeline of the offering will depend on market conditions. BASF reported that the legal and operational separation of the agricultural division is moving forward as scheduled. Around 80% of the division's global operations are already transferred to independent legal entities operating on their own enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
The new independent company will be led by Livio Tedeschi as president and Sascha Bibert as chief financial officer. BASF provides agricultural solutions including crop protection products, seeds, digital technologies, and crop management products. The group will present further details regarding the strategy and operations of the unit during its Capital Markets Day on 24 November 2026.
