The asset manager spent $36.6 million between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11 to expand its treasury.
Bitcoin holdings at Strive reached an even 25,000 coins after the Nasdaq-listed asset manager bought 469 Bitcoin for $36.6 million. According to a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on Monday, Sept. 15, 2026, the company paid an average price of $77,954 per Bitcoin between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11. The total stash is valued at roughly $1.95 billion at current market prices.
Strive CEO Matt Cole stated on X that 100% of the capital raised for the purchase came from SATA, which is Strive's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock. SATA shares outstanding rose by 402,541 during the period, lifting its $100-stated notional value to roughly $1.04 billion. The issuance funded the transaction and allowed cash reserves to tick up from $202.6 million to $204.2 million, while Class A common shares increased by just 34,206.
Cole noted that Strive's amplification ratio rose to 53.5%. The company defines this metric as notional preferred equity and debt measured against Bitcoin net asset value, meaning Strive holds about $53.50 in preferred obligations for every $100 of Bitcoin on its balance sheet. Meanwhile, Strive maintained its 505,000-share position in Strategy's preferred product, STRC.
The latest acquisition marked a slowdown from the prior week. Between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4, Strive acquired 1,375 Bitcoin for about $109 million at an average of $79,281 per coin, funded 70% by SATA and 30% by common stock. According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, Strive ranks fifth among public holders behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. Twenty One Capital holds 43,514 Bitcoin, sitting 18,515 coins ahead of Strive with 15 weeks remaining in 2026.
