The former Morgan Stanley banker also joins the audit committee.
Coinbase Global appointed Anthony Armstrong to its Board of Directors and Audit Committee on 14 September 2026.
Armstrong previously held senior investment banking roles at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on complex financing structures and capital markets work. He also worked on government efficiency initiatives and held senior financial positions at large technology companies led by Elon Musk.
The platform operates in the United States and abroad, connecting retail and institutional clients to digital tokens, custody services, and trading infrastructure. The appointment comes as Coinbase expands products such as derivatives and its proprietary platform Base while pushing for higher-margin services and recurring revenue.
Investors can monitor upcoming conference appearances by the company, including September 2026 sessions with Goldman Sachs and Citi, for updates on subscription revenue and cost discipline.
