The payments firm will use AI agents to manage monitoring across over 60 markets.
dLocal announced on 14 September 2026 that it has selected Oscilar to optimize its compliance operations. The company provides cross-border payments connecting global merchants to consumers in emerging markets. It will integrate Oscilar's artificial intelligence platform to support anti-money laundering monitoring, sanctions screening, and case management.
The payments platform currently operates across more than 60 markets in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. It supports more than 1,000 alternative payment methods, each governed by different local rules, sanctions mandates, and data governance limits. The new setup allows the compliance team to adjust rules and queues directly for individual jurisdictions.
The partnership deploys artificial intelligence agents alongside human analysts to handle time-intensive compliance tasks, while human reviewers retain final decision authority. In this operational area, Level 1 alerts can take up to 60 minutes each to investigate. The tool aims to absorb higher transaction volumes without requiring a linear expansion in headcount.
Traditional bank-oriented monitoring systems were never designed for this environment. Oscilar gives our team the flexibility to operate market by market, the auditability our regulators expect, and the operational leverage to scale investigations without scaling complexity at the same rate. It is the right foundation for modern cross-border payments compliance.
