Investors in 2010 and 2013 domestic notes backed the absorption of Parque Solar Portón del Sol.
Ecopetrol secured approval from its local bondholders to move forward with a merger by absorption with Parque Solar Portón del Sol. The company, led by acting president Juan Carlos Hurtado, announced the results following second-call bondholder meetings held on 4 September.
For the 2010 domestic bond issuance, the meeting reached an initial quorum of 79.16% of the outstanding debt. The merger received 94.65% of participating votes in favor, with 5.35% abstentions and no opposing votes, representing 74.92% of the total outstanding debt.
For the 2013 issuance, the initial quorum stood at 79.95% of the outstanding credit. The absorption plan received unanimous support with 100% of participating votes in favor, representing 80.77% of the total outstanding loan.
Ecopetrol confirmed that the vote outcomes comply with the requirements under Decree 2555 of 2010 for second-call meetings. The company also stated that the approval does not alter the economic or financial terms of its active bond issuances.
