The retail chain targets coverage across all 16 Chilean regions and adds 107 local jobs.
Falabella confirmed on 15 September that it will open a new department store in Coyhaique, Chile. The location begins operating on Wednesday, 30 September, with an official inauguration scheduled for Thursday, 15 October at 18:00. The store will operate at Arturo Prat 451, occupying a remodeled site formerly used by Corona.
The new site will create 107 jobs in the regional capital. The initiative forms part of economic development efforts led by the Municipality of Coyhaique to attract private investment and expand the local supply of goods and services.
This opening is part of a broader expansion plan across the south-central zone of Chile, where Falabella aims to establish stores across all 16 regions of the country. The retailer opened a store in Linares in the Maule Region in August, and it plans to launch another location in Angol in the Araucanía Region before the end of the year.
