Customers can top up mobile service across more than 24,000 stores and via the Spin app.
FEMSA business unit OXXO announced an alliance with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad on 14 September 2026. The partnership allows CFE Internet users to recharge their mobile service across more than 24,000 OXXO stores in Mexico and through the Spin by OXXO mobile application.
The convenience store chain outlined four strategic benefits from this rollout. These include expanding the availability of physical recharge points across Mexico, making mobile top-ups easier, bringing telecommunications solutions to more communities, and supporting digital inclusion goals set by the Mexican government.
Marcela Rincón, commercial payments manager at OXXO Mexico, stated that the company recognizes the value of its retail footprint in bringing essential services closer to people. The state-owned electric utility CFE noted that adding strategic allies remains essential to advance nationwide connectivity.
