The refreshed pickup line arrives with styling updates as shares drop over 2%.
Ford Motor unveiled its 2027 F-150 lineup with refreshed styling, technology upgrades and price cuts across several high-end trims. Shares of Ford fell more than 2% on Tuesday following the announcement, though the stock has gained roughly 19% over the past year.
The updated 2027 F-150 receives a new grille, redesigned wheels, a new base engine and an upgraded version of Ford's BlueCruise hands-free driver-assistance system. The base model will start at $42,630. Higher-end trims saw substantial price reductions: the 2027 F-150 Raptor starts at $77,790, which is $4,010 lower than the 2026 version, while the Tremor starts at $62,440, marking a $5,270 cut.
The price reductions aim to protect vehicle demand as affordability pressures persist across the United States auto market. Because premium pickups typically deliver higher profit margins, market attention is focused on whether unit volumes, lower incentives or manufacturing efficiencies can offset the lower sticker prices.
Ford also announced a Veterans Day event scheduled for 11 November. The event will feature NASCAR drivers, Mustang racing and the Zac Brown Band, and the company will launch its Proud to Honor Fund to support six military-focused organizations.
Wall Street analysts hold a Moderate Buy consensus on Ford, with an average price target of $15.88, implying roughly 17% upside from recent trading levels.
