MBRF Pet begins wet pet food exports to the United States

The division targets the world's largest pet market, which holds 40% of global sales.

MBRF Pet has officially begun exporting wet pet food to the United States, entering a country that accounts for 40% of global pet food revenue. Stanley Andrade, Director at MBRF Pet, confirmed the initiative as reported on October 9, 2026.

The company operates five manufacturing facilities in total, two of which are authorized to ship products to the United States. Across all lines, MBRF Pet delivers an annual sales volume of 3 billion portions of food for dogs and cats.

Foreign sales for MBRF Pet have grown 18% year to date in 2026, generating 20% of its total revenue outside Brazil. The business currently ships to 20 export markets, up from 15 destinations in 2024, and aims to reach 26 foreign markets by the end of 2027.

Brazil ranks as the third-largest pet food market globally, with industry revenue projected to reach 42.96 billion BRL in 2026. Brazilian pet food exports totaled 3.3 billion BRL in 2025, reflecting a 12% increase from the prior year.
