Microsoft Corporation shares climbed 26.8% over the past 12 weeks, significantly outpacing the broader market. Over that same time frame, the benchmark S&P 500 index advanced 3.1%.
The company has been a component of the Zacks Focus List since 1 February 2016. The 50-stock model portfolio produced a 19.86% return year to date through 31 August 2026, compared to a 13.14% gain for the S&P 500 and 15.59% for the equal-weight version of the index.
Technology shares showed relative resilience in recent trading, supported by strength in artificial intelligence stocks while benchmark indexes slipped weekly amid rising oil prices and Treasury yields.
