CFO Mike Berry highlighted a rebound in Enterprise Advanced and steady growth in Atlas.
On 17 September 2026, shares of MongoDB jumped as much as 5.1% in the afternoon session before closing the day at $393.88, up 4.7% from the previous close. The advance came after Chief Financial Officer Mike Berry highlighted a rebound in the company's self-managed Enterprise Advanced business alongside continued momentum in the AI-enabled Atlas cloud platform. Institutional buying also supported the stock.
The rebound followed a sharp pullback 15 days earlier, when the stock dropped 12.6% despite second-quarter fiscal 2026 results that beat estimates. MongoDB reported second-quarter revenue of $771.8 million compared to analyst expectations of $735.3 million. Adjusted earnings per share reached $1.90, beating the $1.61 estimate by 18.1%. However, Atlas database growth held roughly steady at approximately 29% for the fifth consecutive quarter, failing to meet market expectations for an acceleration.
While MongoDB raised its full-year fiscal 2027 guidance for sales and earnings per share, Berry noted that the outlook remained prudent due to the consumption-based model. MongoDB shares are down 1.4% year-to-date and trade 16.5% below their 52-week high of $472.29 reached in August 2026.
