The chipmaker will provide StudyFetch licenses and Jetson Nano kits to Ashe County students.
Nvidia partnered with US First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, to bring artificial intelligence technology into classrooms. The initiative was unveiled during her visit to an elementary school in North Carolina.
Under the agreement, Nvidia will supply four-year licenses of StudyFetch to 1,500 students. The company is also donating 100 Jetson Nano developer kits to schools in Ashe County. These low-power computers process data locally and can power autonomous robots.
The educational rollout comes amid heightened industry debate over the safety of artificial intelligence. Leaders from Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI recently urged a slower pace of development, a stance opposed by the Trump administration over concerns about competition from China.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump called Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during a public forum to dismiss concerns regarding artificial intelligence risks.
