The combined retailer projects 7.7 billion reais in 2025 revenue across 520 stores.
Petz and Cobasi are advancing their merger to build Brazil's largest pet products and services platform. On 14 September 2026, group CEO Paulo Urbano Nassar detailed the integration plans during an Expert Talks episode at the XP CEO Conference in Rio de Janeiro with Fernando Ferreira and Laryssa Sumer.
The combined business projects revenue of approximately BRL 7.7 billion in 2025. The merged network encompasses roughly 520 stores across 124 municipalities and employs 15,000 workers. Digital sales currently represent about 40% of overall revenue, with more than 95% of e-commerce orders fulfilled directly through physical retail locations.
Nassar stated that the group has finished around 90% of commercial renegotiations with suppliers. The company expects to capture its initial financial gains from synergies starting in the third quarter of 2026 through unified systems, logistical optimization, and aligned expansion.
Growth priorities focus on private-label goods and veterinary services. Petz plans to expand its Seres pet health plan across the entire combined network and holds a pipeline to open 100 new stores over coming years.
