The former general manager replaces Amadeo Vázquez following his concluded term.
The board of Telecom Argentina appointed Carlos Alberto Felices as the company's new president on 9 September 2026. He replaces Amadeo Vázquez, who concluded his term leading the telecommunications firm.
Felices has served as general manager at Telecom Argentina since July 2002. In that role, he led efforts to navigate the company's operational and financial difficulties following Argentina's socio-economic crisis.
His responsibilities included restructuring the company's financial debt, which was considered the largest in Argentina's private sector. Before joining Telecom Argentina, he worked at Repsol YPF starting in 1994 to handle capital markets operations, and earlier spent 17 years at Pfizer across Argentina, Brazil, and the United States.
