COFCO Biotechnology also provides essential support services like warehousing, logistics, and information consulting. Furthermore, the company's operational scope is remarkably broad, encompassing research and development in biological engineering, the production and sale of amino acids and both compound and organic fertilizers, and the trade of chemical products and grains. Its activities extend to the wholesale and retail of edible agricultural products, the export of its own products and associated technologies, and the import of necessary raw materials, equipment, and technologies. The firm is also involved in steam production and sales, coal wholesale, food and food additive manufacturing and sales, house leasing, food procurement, power generation, and the distribution of pre-packaged, bulk, and dairy food items. The company underwent a rebranding in September 2019, transitioning from its former name, COFCO Biochemical (Anhui) Co., Ltd., to its current designation, COFCO Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
