Within the Treasury and Global Markets segment, the company manages foreign exchange, oversees cash management (spanning deposit-taking and lending), handles interest rate risk, and manages its securities investment portfolio. The Overseas Banking segment extends a full spectrum of personal and corporate banking products and services internationally. Lastly, the Insurance Business segment is focused on insurance provision and pension fund administration. Beyond these core activities, Dah Sing Financial Holdings also engages in insurance agency work, nominee services, securities dealing, and real estate investments. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the company was originally known as Fivetech Investments Limited, changing its name to Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited in July 1987.
