Additionally, it provides credit cards, private banking, and trust services. The securities and investment arm engages in equity and venture capital investments, securities underwriting, financial planning and advisory, brokerage and dealing services for securities, futures trading, and inter-bank call loan brokerage. It also participates in government bond trading and offers notary services. Through its insurance segment, Mega Financial provides a comprehensive array of policies, covering fire, marine cargo and hull, automotive, aviation, engineering projects, liability, credit and bond, and accidental risks. The company further acts as a broker, dealer, and underwriter for short-term debt instruments and financial debentures. Beyond these core financial offerings, the "Other Businesses" segment encompasses diverse activities. These include the acquisition, appraisal, auction, and management of loan assets; corporate venture capital and leveraged buyout investments; third-party debt collection solutions; and the issuance and management of various investment trust instruments, such as equity and fixed-income funds. The company also delivers a range of consulting services, spanning management, business administration, investment, corporate governance, and venture investment, alongside advertising services. Further extending its reach, Mega Financial invests in and leases real estate properties, handles the transportation and storage of agricultural products and by-products, and manages delinquent accounts receivable. The company was founded in 2002, initially known as CTB Financial Holding Co., Ltd., before adopting its current name, Mega Financial Holding Co., Ltd., in December of the same year.
