The Environment and Catalysts division offers solutions like automotive catalysts, De-NOx catalysts, catalysts for dioxin decomposition and waste gas treatment, process catalysts, and advanced materials for fuel cells. Beyond these core segments, the company's extensive portfolio also encompasses agrochemicals, flame retardants, photochemicals and electrochemicals, adhesive-treated and fine spherical particles, surfactants and other chemical compounds, vinyl chloride resin stabilizers, antiseptics, antifouling agents, antifreeze, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, acrylic acid derivatives, unsaturated polyester resins, plastic molding compounds, malonates, industrial plant control systems, water-soluble polymers, alongside MAA, MMA, and PMMA products. Furthermore, Nippon Shokubai extends its expertise to include the engineering, construction, maintenance, and repair of production facilities, in addition to providing logistics services for chemical transportation. Established in 1941, the company was formerly known as Nippon Shokubai Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd. before adopting its current name in 1991. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Osaka, Japan.
