Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M), an Indian company established in Hyderabad in 1985, is a key player in the production and distribution of lead-acid storage batteries. These batteries are designed for a wide array of industrial and automotive applications within India. Beyond manufacturing, ARE&M also offers comprehensive services, including the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of its products. The company markets its batteries under several recognizable brands, notably Amaron, PowerZone, Power Stack, AmaronVolt, and Quanta. While its primary operations are domestic, ARE&M also extends its reach through exports to various countries situated in the Indian Ocean Rim. Its customer base is highly diverse, serving sectors such as telecommunications, railways, solar energy, power control systems, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). In the automotive sphere, it supplies to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the replacement market, and private label clients. Formerly known as Amara Raja Batteries Limited, the company officially adopted its current name, Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited, in September 2023.
