Furthermore, NHPC provides expertise in modernizing existing hydropower facilities, developing various renewable energy sources (hydro, tidal, wind, geothermal), acting as independent engineers, and delivering techno-commercial advisory, project execution, training, and IT solutions. In addition to these core activities, NHPC engages in project management, construction contracting, and power trading. Its generated electricity is sold in bulk to major clients, including state government utilities and private distribution companies. The company was previously known as National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd.
