Anthropic expands startup program with up to $45,000 in credits
The artificial intelligence lab opened its initiative to more firms to compete with OpenAI and Google.
Anthropic announced on October 6 that it is expanding its Claude Startups program. The artificial intelligence lab is seeking to deepen its relationships with founders and fast-growing businesses as it competes with rivals such as OpenAI and Google.
The program initially launched in May, and thousands of companies are already taking part. Anthropic stated that the vast majority of its revenue comes from business customers, making partnerships with founders and developers central to its mission.
Under the expanded initiative, eligible members can receive up to $45,000 in discounts and credits through the Claude Startup Stack. Qualifying organizations also gain access to a one-time $1,000 application programming interface credit and one free year of Claude Team for up to five premium seats.
Participants can attend virtual office hours with Anthropic's applied artificial intelligence team and join community events. To apply, startups must have been founded within the last five years or funded within the last two years.
