Executives Alexandre Birman and Roberto Jatahy have ended their legal battles following the final division of Brazilian fashion group Azzas 2154. According to Bloomberg, citing a regulatory filing with the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), an arbitration proceeding between both leaders was formally closed on 29 September at their joint request. In a separate lawsuit filed by Jatahy against Birman, both parties submitted a petition to withdraw the action.

The end of both the arbitration and an ongoing injunction was a formal commitment included in the separation agreement announced in early September. The move aims to avert the financial losses historically tied to corporate disputes in the Brazilian retail sector.

Under the agreed split, Birman takes Arezzo&Co, Carol Bassi and ZZ Mall, along with Hering, which previously belonged to Grupo Soma. Jatahy retains the premium apparel operations, including Animale and Foxton, while also taking Reserva from Arezzo.

Meanwhile, Farm will operate as a standalone company under shared control. Under the ownership structure, Arezzo&Co will hold 57.4% of the shares in Farm, while Soma will hold the remaining 42.6%.
