The alliance expands fund distribution across Latin America and the US offshore market.
Banco BTG Pactual S.A. announced on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, that its asset management arm has formed a distribution partnership with Allianz Global Investors. Under the agreement, BTG Pactual Asset Management will act as a third-party distributor for the German manager's investment strategies across public and private markets.
The distribution effort targets Latin American countries including Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, alongside the United States offshore market. A dedicated team of more than 30 professionals will manage the regional distribution operations.
Rubens Henriques, partner and CEO of BTG Pactual Asset Management, stated that the collaboration allows the firm to expand client access to AllianzGI's investment capabilities. Alexandra Auer, Head of Distribution for EMEA at Allianz Global Investors, noted that Latin America is strategically important and highlighted the joint positioning to serve US offshore investors.
Allianz Global Investors employs over 700 investment professionals across 22 offices and manages 653 billion euros in assets. BTG Pactual Asset Management manages over 690 billion Brazilian reais in assets, with operations across Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg.
