The Colombian food conglomerate is passing lower raw material costs directly to retail coffee consumers.
Grupo Nutresa announced on 8 September 2026 that its flagship coffee brand Café Sello Rojo is reducing prices across various presentations in Colombia. The adjustment starts in September to pass on cost savings from declining raw material prices directly to consumers.
The price cuts will vary depending on package size and format, with some product lines seeing discounts of up to 17%. The company noted that Colombians consume approximately 15 million cups of Café Sello Rojo daily.
Francisco Eladio Gómez Zapata, president of the Coffee and Beverages Business at Grupo Nutresa, explained that the decision reflects the evolution of raw material costs in the coffee market. The company confirmed that product formulas, dark roast profiles, and fine grinds will remain unchanged.
David Echavarría Restrepo, marketing manager of the Coffee and Beverages Business at Grupo Nutresa, added that current market trends enabled these price adjustments to strengthen the brand's position among domestic consumers.
