Afore Sura completed the first institutional transaction in Mexican sovereign debt via CCV Deuda.
Grupo Sura subsidiary Afore Sura completed the first institutional trade in Bonos M cleared via the central counterparty CCV Deuda on 7 September 2026. The milestone was announced jointly with Grupo BMV and CCV Deuda.
The clearing platform had 9 active intermediaries operating at the time of the announcement. Another 22 financial intermediaries were in the onboarding pipeline, while 7 institutions were actively conducting operational tests.
Mexican government bonds register daily trading volume between 120 billion MXN and 125 billion MXN. Under the multilateral netting model of CCV Deuda, the estimated daily cash settlement requirement stands at 13 billion MXN, which releases an estimated 112 billion MXN in daily cash liquidity.
The Mexican pension system manages total assets of 8.30 trillion MXN. Retirement fund assets currently represent 23.8% of Mexican gross domestic product.
