The vehicle debuted at CIFTIS with automated stir-frying technology.
JD.com launched its first intelligent food truck through its catering brand 7Fresh Kitchen, introducing the vehicle at the China International Fair for Trade in Services. The company presented the AI-powered truck, nicknamed Chef Transformer, to deliver freshly stir-fried meals for event attendees without requiring on-site chefs.
The vehicle is equipped with three intelligent cooking robots and a smart coffee machine, automating the entire process from ordering to stir-frying. During its debut at the fair, the food truck served dishes such as stir-fried pork with chili, wood-ear mushroom chicken, and spicy beef, alongside beverages including latte and pomegranate tea. The kitchen uses preprocessed ingredients delivered through cold chain logistics with end-to-end traceability.
Following its trade fair debut, JD.com plans to deploy the food truck across outdoor gatherings, including sports matches, music festivals, and expositions. The system relies on ready-to-cook vegetable processing, cold chain distribution, and robotic stir-frying while providing an open view of the automated cooking space.
JD.com designed the vehicle as an export-ready system for overseas markets, pairing domestically manufactured cooking hardware with AI-driven recipe databases, operational standard operating procedures, and digital supply chain systems to address global chef shortages and dish standardization.
