Partnerships with Nuclearn and NPX aim to cut documentation search times by 80%.
NuScale Power is introducing nuclear-specific artificial intelligence tools for engineering and knowledge management through partnerships with Nuclearn and NPX. The initiative focuses on systems tailored directly to nuclear industry workflows, regulatory standards, and complex technical documentation.
The company develops small modular reactor technology for customers seeking scalable nuclear power units. The new platform targets NuScale Power's core administrative and engineering demands. It aims to deliver an 80% time saving when searching for relevant information across regulatory content approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
These efficiency gains are designed to support NuScale Power as it transitions from pure reactor design toward commercial deployment execution. The faster workflows support preparation for 12-module manufacturing, supply chain readiness, and commercialization projects, including work with Tennessee Valley Authority and Romania's RoPower plant.
The software adoption does not eliminate key operational hurdles. NuScale Power still faces ongoing risks related to project funding, power purchase agreements, and ENTRA1 commercialization.
