Kreiz will oversee daily operations upon closing of the Warner Bros. Discovery merger.
Paramount Skydance Corporation announced on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, that David Ellison has named Mattel Chairman and CEO Ynon Kreiz as Co-CEO of the anticipated merged company with Warner Bros. Discovery. Kreiz will start at Paramount on October 5, 2026. Upon the closing of the merger, Ellison will remain Chairman and CEO, while Kreiz will serve as Co-CEO and join the board of directors.
Under the planned structure, Ellison will lead long-term strategy, creative vision, talent relationships, strategic partnerships, technology, and capital allocation. Kreiz will manage daily operations and oversee the integration of the combined businesses. Kreiz has served as Chairman and CEO of Mattel since 2018.
The transaction unites studios with more than 200 combined years of history and a streaming reach projected to exceed 200 million global subscribers. Paramount expects to generate more than $6 billion in run-rate synergies from the deal, while projecting 16% to 19% growth in 2026 revenue and pre-SBC EBITDA.
