CEO Vlad Tenev outlined expansion plans across wealth management, tokenized stocks, and automated trading.
Robinhood Markets is accelerating its global expansion through tokenization, wealth management, and artificial intelligence, CEO and Co-Founder Vlad Tenev said during a Goldman Sachs event on 12 September 2026. Over the long term, the company aims to generate half of its revenue from international markets and half from institutional clients.
Tokenization serves as a core engine for this international push. Robinhood Chain currently offers roughly 200 tokenized U.S. stocks, backed one-to-one, across more than 120 countries outside the United States. Tenev reported that recent activity reached billions of dollars in daily trading volume, with single-day gross revenue touching $6 million. The company has also opened these tokens to decentralized finance applications and third-party smart contracts.
The platform is also expanding into wealth management and automated investing to capture a share of an expected transfer of more than $100 trillion in wealth across generations. Offerings include managed portfolios via Robinhood Strategies, human advisory services through TradePMR, and agentic trading via the Robinhood MCP interface. This AI tool supports equities, options, and cryptocurrencies, with futures and prediction markets planned for future integration.
Robinhood is also acting as the initial broker and trustee for Trump Accounts, working alongside BNY Mellon, the U.S. Treasury, and the Internal Revenue Service. Under this program, accounts for children born in 2025 receive a $1,000 Treasury contribution to invest in an S&P 500 exchange-traded fund. Additionally, the company offers Robinhood Earn, which converts customer dollars into the USDG stablecoin with Paxos to generate an annual percentage yield of 7% through on-chain lending.
