The plugin links enterprise CRM data directly into Anthropic's interface.
Salesforce has advanced its Claudeforce partnership into an open beta at Dreamforce this September, after first announcing the tie-up in August. The move connects enterprise customer relationship management data directly into Claude's native interface, challenging the industry trend of embedding artificial intelligence agents entirely inside existing software environments.
The integration relies on a plugin equipped with 37 prebuilt sales skills for tasks such as meeting preparation and pipeline reviews. Under the agreement, Salesforce has designated Claude as its preferred AI model, while Anthropic has named Salesforce its preferred CRM. Running on the AIforce harness, the tool links into Headless 360, Data 360, Tableau, and Slack, where Claude now acts as the default model for Slack AI, Slackbot, and Slack Code.
Salesforce reported that its own employees have achieved 8.1 million hours of annualized productivity gains using Slackbot, a figure that has doubled quarter-over-quarter. Deployment requires a single one-time setup that gives immediate access to all sellers without per-user configuration.
The beta is now available through the Salesforce AppExchange and the Claude Enterprise Marketplace. CEO Marc Benioff framed the initiative by stating that the user interface is the AI, while Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei noted that the partnership brings frontier intelligence directly into commercial systems.
