Investor documents reveal the chipmaker is an anchor backer alongside Kuwait's wealth fund.
Nvidia has committed $2 billion to Brookfield Asset Management's global artificial intelligence infrastructure fund, according to investor documents that revealed the size of the previously disclosed investment.
The chipmaker serves as an anchor investor for the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund alongside the Kuwait Investment Authority, as Brookfield announced last year. The fund concentrates on the physical rollout of AI, financing factories, dedicated behind-the-meter power solutions, and compute infrastructure.
Brookfield is raising $10 billion for this dedicated AI infrastructure fund. The vehicle is part of a larger plan to raise roughly $50 billion for its infrastructure group over the next two years, incorporating AI into every strategy.
Brookfield is also participating in an Nvidia consortium that is committing to finance AI computing deals totaling more than $500 billion.
