Airlines LATAM, Qatar, GOL, and Azul join the Brazilian rewards platform.
Banco Santander (Brasil) added 31 new brands to its Esfera points program between August and September 2026. The institution announced the expansion on September 21, 2026, aiming to increase accumulation channels on the platform.
In the travel segment, the portfolio added airlines LATAM Airlines, Qatar Airways, GOL, and Azul, as well as bus charter platform Buser. Depending on partnership rules and eligibility, flight purchases can generate up to three accumulation methods simultaneously: Esfera points from the partner channel, airline loyalty program miles, and regular card rewards.
Under the new airline agreements, purchases with LATAM, Qatar, and GOL grant 1 Esfera point for every BRL 2 spent. Purchases with Azul generate 1 point for every BRL 4 spent. Beyond travel, Esfera added brands across technology, health and wellness, pharmacies, fashion, home, pets, entertainment, and e-commerce.
The expansion reflects competition among banks using loyalty programs to boost primary banking relationships, encouraging clients to centralize payments, credit, and investments.
