The telecom operator expands its corporate portfolio through an extended six-year partnership.
TIM will start offering Google Security Operations to corporate clients in Brazil. The cybersecurity platform from Google Cloud focuses on threat detection, investigation, and incident response. The service joins the telecom operator's B2B portfolio as part of an expansion of a partnership that has lasted more than six years, announced on Tuesday, 15 September.
With Google Security Operations, we bring to the market a cybersecurity offering with world-class technology, integrated into our portfolio and aligned with the real needs of businesses.
TIM reported that its corporate segment serves more than 120 large companies and generates over BRL 1.2 billion in contract revenue. The new offering builds on recent moves to broaden corporate services in cloud, artificial intelligence, and security. Earlier this year, the company completed the acquisition of V8.Tech, a firm focused on digital solutions, cloud, and data.
The platform combines security information and event management, security orchestration, automation, and response, alongside tools powered by artificial intelligence. Marcello Zillo, head of security for Google Cloud in Latin America, noted that adopting artificial intelligence at scale requires a solid security foundation so organizations can execute with agility and predictability.
