TransDigm Group completed its acquisition of Prince & Izant from Industrial Growth Partners on September 28, 2026. The purchase price was approximately $1.066 billion in cash, which includes certain tax benefits. TransDigm funded the transaction entirely using cash on hand after first announcing the agreement on July 27, 2026.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Prince & Izant manufactures engineered brazing alloys and specialty metal components. Its products serve aerospace and defense applications like rocket engines and aircraft fuel nozzles, along with aeroderivative turbine and transportation markets. It also supplies the medical and general industrial sectors to a lesser extent.
Prince & Izant is projected to generate roughly $390 million in revenue for the calendar year ending December 31, 2026. The business earns most of its revenue from the aftermarket and from specialty metals such as gold, silver, and platinum alloys, covering nearly 10,000 active SKUs.
Prince & Izant employs approximately 220 people. It operates manufacturing facilities across four locations: Cleveland, Ohio; Tinley Park, Illinois; Franksville, Wisconsin; and Bay Shore, New York.
