US prosecutors end CrowdStrike probe without charges

US federal prosecutors have concluded an investigation into CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. regarding distributor deals without pursuing criminal or civil charges, Bloomberg reported on September 25, 2026.

Federal prosecutors and regulators had examined how the cybersecurity company handled transactions since early 2025, including executive knowledge of those agreements. Justice Department attorneys informed individuals tied to the inquiry in July that the review was complete and no action would follow. Prosecutors from the Manhattan US attorney's office did not provide explanations for their findings or why the case was closed.

The Austin, Texas-based cybersecurity firm had previously disclosed in an August regulatory filing that it was cooperating with requests from both the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its accounting for transactions with certain customers. The current status of the SEC investigation remains unknown.
