The Sustainable Development segment is involved in construction, with a focus on modern integrated farms, and the production and supply of food, agricultural produce, and related equipment. Additionally, IRIS delivers advanced border control systems featuring secure, automated eGates, hybrid eGates, self-service kiosks, mobile counters, and portable devices, all managed by an intelligent border control system. The company also offers passport and eVisa processing, alongside secure document authentication services that leverage public key infrastructure, digital signatures, and facial recognition technology. Furthermore, it develops smart card solutions for the travel, tourism, retail, and hospitality industries. Its smart devices facilitate over-the-counter identity verification for sectors such as banking, finance, insurance, and healthcare, as well as providing controlled access and identity checks for events like trade fairs and conferences. Originally incorporated in 1994 as TL Technology Research (M) Sdn Bhd, the company officially adopted the name IRIS Corporation Berhad in August 1999.
