Aeromexico to launch direct flights to Jamaica and Bahamas

Aeromexico announced it will launch direct flights from Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport to Jamaica and the Bahamas in March 2027, ahead of the Easter holiday season. The direct service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, is scheduled to start on March 18, 2027, operating three times a week on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The route to Nassau, Bahamas, will begin on March 19, 2027, with three weekly frequencies on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeromexico, said that adding Jamaica and the Bahamas reflects the airline's commitment to giving passengers more travel options to world-class destinations while strengthening connectivity from Mexico City. Both routes remain subject to government approval, though tickets are already on sale through the airline's official channels.

The new destinations will expand Aeromexico's current Caribbean network, which includes Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, as well as Havana, Cuba. By Easter 2027, the airline plans to offer more than 4,000 weekly seats to the Caribbean across 27 weekly frequencies.

The carrier is also expanding its European network. Aeromexico recently announced direct flights from Mexico City to Milan starting March 10, 2027, with four weekly frequencies, and from Guadalajara to Paris starting April 13, 2027, with three weekly frequencies. These additions will give the airline the largest European network in its history, spanning seven destinations across 11 routes and more than 75 weekly flights.
