The chipmaker deploys embedded chips and Instinct MI325X GPUs for industrial and scientific uses.
Advanced Micro Devices announced a collaboration with Advantech to accelerate Edge AI workloads using AMD embedded and GPU platforms. At the same time, MindWalk moved OpenFold3 into production on AMD Instinct GPUs, supported by inference microservices designed for life sciences workflows.
The alliance with Advantech focuses on scalable, partner-led Edge AI solutions. Advantech's WEDA ecosystem integrates AMD Ryzen AI Embedded processors into pre-validated edge platforms that can be rolled out across industrial fleets, expanding operations beyond traditional data centers.
MindWalk's deployment of OpenFold3 runs specifically on AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs to handle life sciences prediction workloads. The rollout uses AMD Inference Microservices and a Kubernetes-native path into regulated production, relying on ROCm and related software tooling to support third-party models.
