América Móvil subsidiary Claro announced an alliance with Oracle on October 6, 2026, to operate a sovereign cloud region in Argentina. The deployment focuses on local data sovereignty and targets an Argentine market for cloud infrastructure and digital services estimated at 1.700 billion dollars in 2025.

The local platform is scheduled to launch in December 2026. At rollout, the companies plan to offer 200 artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure services hosted locally within the country.

The initiative follows a similar rollout in Colombia, where Claro invested 25 million dollars between 2022 and 2023 to remodel its Triara data center. In Colombia, the cloud region expanded from seven initial clients to 500 within its first year, while its catalog grew from 20 initial services to 150 services. In addition, Claro has migrated 100 mission-critical internal servers to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
