Autodesk names Diana Colella to lead its AEC business
Colella replaces retiring Amy Bunszel, who stays through November 2, 2026.
Autodesk announced on October 6, 2026, that Diana Colella has been appointed executive vice president of its architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) business. Colella takes charge of the company's largest industry segment to advance its artificial intelligence strategy and the Autodesk Forma industry cloud.
Colella succeeds Amy Bunszel, who previously announced her retirement. Bunszel will remain at Autodesk through November 2, 2026, to assist with the leadership transition.
In her new role, Colella will focus on integrating desktop software like Revit and Civil 3D into Forma workflows. Colella joined Autodesk through the acquisition of Discreet Logic and has spent nearly three decades at the company. Her prior roles include heading the AutoCAD business and launching One AutoCAD.
Most recently, Colella directed the Media and Entertainment unit, leading acquisitions of Moxion, PIX, and Wonder Dynamics alongside the Flow platform rollout. She will continue supervising that division while initiating an executive search for a new leader who will report directly to her.
