The agreement connects flights across 20 major U.S. destinations with transpacific routes to Taipei.
American Airlines and Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines launched a codeshare partnership on September 23, 2026. Tickets are now on sale for itineraries connecting STARLUX's transpacific service with American Airlines flights across 20 major destinations in the United States.
The agreement allows travelers to book a single ticket with through-checked baggage to their final destination. The routes connect through Phoenix to destinations including Albuquerque, Austin, Boston, El Paso, Kansas City, San Antonio, San Diego, St. Louis, Tucson, and Washington Reagan. Connections through both Phoenix and Los Angeles cover Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago O'Hare, and Philadelphia.
This partnership expands on an interline agreement signed in 2025. Both carriers are also preparing a reciprocal frequent-flyer arrangement to let loyalty members earn and redeem miles on eligible codeshare flights.
American Airlines operates more than 6,000 daily flights to over 350 destinations across more than 60 countries, serving more than 200 million passengers annually. STARLUX serves 34 destinations worldwide and previously launched a route between Phoenix and Taipei earlier in 2026.
