Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste handled 5.9 million passengers across its airports in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Colombia in August 2026. This performance represented a 2.1% decline compared to August 2025. International volumes dropped 10.7%, which offset a 2.3% rise in domestic passenger traffic.

Regional outcomes diverged across the network during the month. Traffic fell 4.0% in Mexico and dropped 5.1% in Puerto Rico compared to the prior year. In contrast, Colombia achieved a 4.0% increase in traffic, supported by 5.8% growth in its domestic segment.

The operational update comes right after a significant network expansion. On 1 September 2026, ASUR completed the acquisition of Motiva Airports. The transaction added 20 airports to its portfolio, comprising 17 in Brazil and one each in Costa Rica, Curaçao, and Ecuador. Traffic figures will begin incorporating these new locations starting with the September 2026 report.

Regarding market coverage, the most recent analyst rating on the stock is a Sell with a price target of $280.00. In addition, TipRanks AI Analyst Spark assigned the company a Neutral rating with a score of 62, pointing to solid profitability alongside higher leverage, weakening cash-flow quality, and soft technical indicators.
