The local exchange expands its foreign securities hub with a new aerospace listing.
Bolsa Mexicana de Valores announced on 15 September 2026 the listing of SpaceX on its Sistema Internacional de Cotizaciones (SIC). The aerospace company, founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, trades under the ticker SPCX. The platform allows Mexican investors to trade foreign securities without opening accounts abroad.
SpaceX joins 3,794 securities listed on the SIC. According to an exchange statement, that total includes 2,136 equities and 1,658 exchange-traded funds. So far this year, the exchange has added 221 new securities to the system, consisting of 88 equities and 133 exchange-traded funds.
The local market fell 0.28% on Friday and closed the week with a cumulative decline of 1.45%.
