Bradesco gets approval for 10 billion real capital boost
The Central Bank of Brazil homologated the capital increase to 103.77 billion reais on October 8, 2026.
Banco Bradesco S.A. announced on October 8, 2026, that the Central Bank of Brazil homologated its capital increase of 10 billion Brazilian reais. The operation expands the lender's share capital from 93.77 billion reais to 103.77 billion reais.
The transaction involved issuing 604,852,753 new shares, comprising 302,876,396 common shares and 301,976,357 preferred shares. Common shares were subscribed at 15.43 Brazilian reais each, while preferred shares were priced at 17.64 Brazilian reais each. Following the issuance, Bradesco's total share capital consists of 11,196,864,781 shares, split into 5,606,747,177 common shares and 5,590,117,604 preferred shares.
The bank also adjusted the distribution of 3.8 billion Brazilian reais declared as intermediary interest on equity across the expanded share base. Gross interest per share is now 0.323858718 Brazilian reais for common shares and 0.356244590 Brazilian reais for preferred shares. After applying the 17.5% withholding income tax rate, the net payout stands at 0.267183442 Brazilian reais per common share and 0.293901787 Brazilian reais per preferred share.
