CVS Health and Cardinal Health entered into a binding letter of intent on October 1, 2026, to extend their pharmaceutical distribution agreement through June 30, 2032.

The extension keeps Cardinal Health's existing scope of distribution services in place for CVS Health. Jason Hollar, CEO of Cardinal Health, stated that the distributor values its long-standing partnership with CVS Health and aims to continue serving its customers.

Alongside the extension, Cardinal Health reaffirmed its fiscal year 2027 non-GAAP EPS guidance of $12.40 to $12.60, representing 13% to 15% growth, and reiterated its long-term non-GAAP EPS growth rate target of 12% to 14%. Further updates are scheduled for Cardinal Health's first-quarter earnings call on November 5, 2026.
