Shipping conglomerate CMA CGM Group completed the $1.4 billion acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain on October 1, 2026. The contract logistics subsidiary generated less than 2% of FedEx's consolidated annual revenue.

FedEx is divesting the unit to focus resources on freight transportation and parcel delivery services. Under the deal first announced on July 1, CMA CGM becomes a preferred ocean carrier for FedEx over several years.

The two companies also plan to collaborate on air cargo capacity along key routes, including Asia-Europe. FedEx operates the largest cargo airline in the world, and the partnership is designed to improve aircraft utilization and fleet flexibility on long-haul services.

The transaction transfers about 34 million square feet of warehouse space across North America, 130 customers, and automated facilities to CMA CGM subsidiary Ceva Logistics. Ceva now operates about 150 warehouses and has expanded its North American footprint to over 240 locations, doubling its regional workforce to 20,000 employees.
