Embraer delivers its first Praetor 600E jet to Flexjet

On 18 September, Embraer announced the delivery of the first Praetor 600E to US-based Flexjet. The carrier is the launch fleet customer for the super-midsize business jet, which was unveiled in February and certified in April by aviation regulators in Brazil, the United States, and Europe.

The Praetor 600E has a stated intercontinental range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 kilometres) carrying four passengers under NBAA IFR reserves. According to Embraer, this range enables nonstop flights on routes such as London to New York and São Paulo to Miami.

The aircraft delivered to Flexjet features the proprietary Smart Window system, combining a 42-inch 4K OLED display with videoconferencing, high-resolution streaming, and real-time external camera feeds. The cabin also includes redesigned Embraer seats, an updated galley, a cabin management system, and an optional divan.

The aircraft includes full fly-by-wire controls, active turbulence reduction, the Embraer Enhanced Vision System, and a runway overrun awareness and alerting system. Embraer also plans to deliver the first Praetor 500E, which received regulatory approvals in June, to Flexjet in the final quarter of the year.
