Ann Janssen will retire in 2027 and serve as an advisor during the transition.
EOG Resources announced on September 24, 2026, that Ann D. Janssen has elected to retire from the company. The board of directors appointed Jeffrey W. "Jeff" Hibbard to succeed her as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2027.
Janssen will continue serving as an advisor during the transition of her responsibilities before her retirement in 2027. She has worked at EOG for more than 30 years after joining a predecessor company in 1995. Janssen has held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2024, having previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer alongside other leadership posts in accounting, financial reporting and planning, and treasury.
Hibbard has served as Senior Vice President, Finance at EOG since joining the energy producer in August 2025. Before that, he spent more than 20 years at Morgan Stanley in various investment banking roles, most recently serving as a Managing Director in the firm's Global Energy Group.
Chairman and CEO Ezra Y. Yacob highlighted Janssen's focus on capital discipline and a strong balance sheet throughout her tenure, while noting that Hibbard brings two decades of oil and gas industry experience to lead EOG's future financial strategy.
