The premium feature verifies recipients digitally for high-value items without requiring physical signatures.
On 16 September 2026, FedEx Corp. launched FedEx Authenticated Delivery, a premium verification service for residential and commercial shipments across the United States and Canada. The offering targets high-value and sensitive packages, including luxury goods, electronics, healthcare products, aerospace components, and collectibles.
The service generates a unique QR code sent to the recipient through FedEx notifications alongside delivery instructions. At the delivery address, the recipient must present the QR code for the FedEx driver to scan and validate before handing over the parcel. The digital process replaces traditional physical signatures to help reduce fraud, theft, and misdeliveries.
The future of delivery isn't just moving packages quickly. It's about building greater trust throughout the delivery process. FedEx Authenticated Delivery reflects our continued commitment to helping customers protect what matters most while creating more trusted and connected delivery experiences.
The service is available with select expedited tiers. To maintain security, FedEx restricts certain delivery modifications such as Hold at Location, Redirect to Hold, and address corrections, while allowing vacation holds via FedEx Delivery Manager. FedEx operates globally with annual revenue of $86 billion and employs more than 450,000 workers.
