Borrowers across Mexico can now make commission-free mortgage payments around the clock.
FEMSA expanded its retail financial services across Mexico through a new partnership between its OXXO convenience chain and Infonavit, the national workers housing institute. The agreement allows borrowers to pay their housing loans at any OXXO store in the country.
The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and charges no commission to customers. Borrowers can cover their regular monthly installments or make advance payments toward standard Infonavit mortgages and Mejoravit Solo para Ti home improvement loans.
Customers only need their 10-digit Infonavit credit number to complete a transaction, without presenting extra documents. Payments can be processed in cash, debit card, or credit card, with a limit of 10,000 pesos per transaction.
